Provide Data with a Web ServiceThis page will introduce you to sharing data with GISIN through a web service. To get started please to read the Introduction to GISIN Web Services and the Definitions of terms used by GISIN. Then, if you wish to provide data through a web service, read the 'Web Service Providers' section below. Web Service ProvidersYou can share data through the GISIN via a web serice if you either have a web server or can setup a web server that is available on the Internet. If you currently have a web site you should be able to share data through GISIN. Use the GISIN PHP Toolkit if you can run PHP scripts on your web server. If you cannot use PHP and want to get running quickly you will need to write scripts that adhere to the GISIN Protocol. Otherwise, you can upload files of data to GISIN 1. Review the GISIN protocol to define how your data will be mapping to the protocol.
2. Install the latest GISIN Web Service Toolkit.
3. After you have a provider service up and running, use the provider's tests to ensure it is working properly. Access the provider's tests by selecting you Data Provider and then selecting the web service.
4. If you have problems, check the troubleshooting page.
5. If you want to write your own web serice software, see the web serice specification.
